the invites

The stripes of this set of invites I found from Etsy are so grand! The underlying theme of the wedding is black and white stripes. We are wrapping the bridesmaids bouquets, the grooms-mens boutonnieres, and a few
other things;) I thought the invite will set off the whole day and the stripes seem to be a definite necessity. I am excited to share this new find with my friend Lisa who is a graphic designer and will be designing and making the invites!!

The Nitty Gritty

Caitlin and I agree that our wedding days will both be absolute perfection, not only because of all the hard work that was put into them by us and our amazing families, but because, and most importantly, we’re getting to marry our best friends and live happily ever after. However, the joyous occasions will be beautifully photographed and forever remembered and for that, every inch of the ceremony and reception will be carefully calculated.  For that reason, this entry is all about details, details, details!

Just Peachy: these peaches are a fun southern alternative to traditional flowers in a centerpiece. Photo by Jonathan Hoffner Photography.

Something Borrowed: A beautiful way to incorporate something borrowed and something that will bring a sentimental aspect to your wedding day is to wrap your bouquet in lace or satin from a family member’s wedding gown or veil. Photo by Kio Kreations.

Add a Little Pop: These customized Jones sodas are the cutest party favors for guests to take home and remember the night or will make the perfection reception sip. I’m kind of obsessing over them; SO FUN!

Wish I May, Wish I Might: Wish to wear these Christian Louboutins on my wedding night! There are no words to describe how amazing these shoes are. Have fun with your shoes; it will make for really fun pictures. I’ll definitely go to sleep dreaming of these in purple. They’re perfection.

As you can see, perfection is in the details.  They are the tiny things that will set your wedding apart.  Details will make it unique, make it perfect.  Have fun with all the options there are to make everything so special!

Centerpieces as the gift?

I love the look of fresh flowers on every table. But I think that there are so many other fun ways to decorate the tables. I love the idea of grouping the tables by all the different groups of people, like the Swinton family, the Green family, the Betas, the Phi Mu's, etc. I think it would be fun to have everything in the middle of the table be the gifts for all the gifts. So no one has to clean up the 15 birdcages? I love birdcages, but who really wants 15 of them? ya know?

Hair style ideas for the big day

Up, down, up, down??

I love the idea of wearing my hair down, since I wear it down everyday. But I wonder if I should wear it up, but just in a low bun. I love all these looks! Maybe we can just do a combo of all of them:) let me know what you think - Cait
